< The Keys Keeper >

The Keys Keeper is an immersive installation exploring memory, displacement, protection, and cultural continuity. A masked female figure emerges through a cement wall, her Tatreez covered hands extending outward while threads carrying keys and beads connect her body to the surrounding space. The keys reference the Palestinian right of return, while the threads and beads evoke connection, inherited memory, and spiritual protection. Gold elements interrupt the weight of the cement, creating a tension between restriction and continuity. Through the figure, suspended objects, light, and shadow, memory becomes an embodied and spatial experience, something carried, protected, and passed across generations.
