Threads of Legacy explores intergenerational cultural transmission through Tatreez. Two canvases depict an older and younger woman engaged in embroidery, connected physically by three red threads representing the artist, her mother, and grandmother. Focusing on the hands rather than the faces, the work emphasizes Tatreez as embodied knowledge learned through observation, repetition, and shared practice. The repeated brushstrokes echo the rhythm of stitching, while the threads extend beyond the canvases to connect generations and suggest the continued transmission of cultural identity.
